Two ‘Holy Destructors’ shot dead by ‘No-Care’ in Kandep early this morning

The political related tribal war in Kandep district of Enga province has claimed 3 more lives early this morning. The fight is between the Kambrip tribe and the Akul tribe, and is related to the 2012 national election. The fight had so far claimed more than 60 lives and it is believed to be the worst fight ever fought in the history of Kandep.

Sources within Kandep confirmed that early this morning, Kambrip made offensive attacked on the Akul that saw two Kambirps shot dead in Mamadai village close to the boarder of Kandep and Mendi.

Interestingly, the two tribes were given new names. The Kambrips are now called ‘Lion / Holy destructors’ while the Akuls are known as the ‘No-Care’. They are using high powered guns and it is putting the safety of the Kandep people at risks. Calls made to Police, Enga Provincial Government, and leaders of both factions to take immediate peace action continue to go answer.

The ordinary people of Kandep are now calling relevant authorities, including the MP for Kandep, Hon, Don Polye and the Oneil-Dion government to declare State of Emergency (SOE) in Kandep, has the two warring tribes are using high powered guns is beyond the control of the local leaders.
